Linder Gets DX Upgrade with
New “Smart Machine” Technology

Linder Industrial Machinery (Linder), a Komatsu dealer in Florida and North and South Carolina, is in the midst of technological transformation by becoming an authorized Topcon Positioning dealer in the Carolinas. A SCOA Group Company in the construction-machinery business, Linder can now provide its Komatsu customers with the full range of Topcon Positioning machine control systems across retrofitted systems for excavators, dozers, and graders that transform every machine into a smart machine.

This technology allows for unmatched control capabilities, more efficient workflow, construction process simplification, improved safety improvement, and a reduction of expenses. Utilizing the assistance of Linder’s Technology Solutions Group, Topcon Positioning can now provide smart technology and digital transformation for Komatsu equipment; the Linder team of Technical Solutions Experts will be there to help set up, program, train, and troubleshoot every Topcon Positioning system that Linder sells.

“I am extremely excited about this partnership with Topcon Positioning and Linder in the Carolinas,” says Chris Wilkes, Linder’s Senior Vice President of Sales for the Carolinas. “Linder is committed to the growth of the smart construction market, and this partnership is another example of the investments we are willing to make to assist our customers in becoming more profitable. Topcon Positioning is a great addition to the world class equipment we already offer from Komatsu and other manufacturers.”

“Komatsu and Topcon Positioning have had a close working relationship for many years, and that relationship has made Topcon Positioning products a great fit with seamless integration in their machines,” says Joel Cramblett, Linder’s General Manager of Technology Solutions.

Technology Solutions Experts have a direct focus on all satellite-guided equipment. Linder will sell the complete add-on system known as Plug + Play and all the components necessary for the integrated Komatsu units.

“Our entire team is focused on how we can take care of our customers and help make them become more efficient and profitable. I’m looking forward to a future where Linder and Topcon Positioning continue to grow this market,” Wilkes said.

“By this acquisition, Linder can provide not only technologically updated Komatsu equipment, but also a more economic option for the customers,” said Yasuaki Shigemura, Senior Director and Head of SCOA’s Construction Equipment Unit. “Linder is definitely committed to the growth of the smart construction market, and smart construction helps contractors to develop safer, more efficient working environments, as well as make them more profitable.”

According to Koji Takeda, Vice President of Planning and Development at Linder, “Topcon Positioning gives Linder additional capability. The technology will help us not only work smarter and more productively but also to make working environment safer. Linder will pursue a goal to be a “one stop solution provider” with advanced technologies for construction.”

Linder’s nine locations in the Carolinas will offer Topcon Positioning products; the six in North Carolina are in Asheville, Concord, Greenville, High Point, Raleigh, and Wilmington. The three in South Carolina are in Columbia, Greer, and Ladson.

Besides those mentioned already, Linder’s product offerings include base and rover systems, rotating lasers, pipe lasers and other select but necessary industry products.
